2012
In September 2012, Vladivostok Airport became the air gateway to the APEC summit: it was here that the aircraft of delegates from the APEC member countries arrived. In preparation for this event, the airfield was extensively modernized and a new terminal was built. Every year since 2015, Primorye air harbor has welcomed guests of the Eastern Economic Forum, a significant business event for the Far East. The Forum is held to attract foreign investments to the Russian Far East and develop economic co-operation in the Asia-Pacific region.
2014
In 2014, Vladivostok International Airport was audited for the first time to confirm that its ground handling standards (ISAGO) comply with the safety standards of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Vladivostok Airport confirms its compliance with high international safety standards every 2 years. In 2020, the aviation enterprise received a comprehensive assessment of the key parameters of the ISAGO standard for the fourth time.
2018
In 2018, Vladivostok International Airport took part in the Great Names of Russia federal project. According to the voting results, the Primorye air harbor was named after Vladimir Arsenyev, the explorer of the Far East.
Every year the airport expands its route network and increases passenger flow. In February 2018, a transfer zone was launched. Thanks to this, passengers on international flights now have an additional opportunity to travel through Primorye air harbor without additional visa processing.
2019
On December 23, 2019, a new record was set — the 3 millionth passenger was served. The Primorye air harbor was the first among airports in the Far East to achieve this important indicator.
2020
For several years, Vladivostok Airport has been actively developing its route network in the East Asian countries. In 2020, a significant event took place — the arrival of two new Japanese airlines. On February 28, Japan Airlines (JAL) launched a direct flight between Vladivostok and Tokyo (Narita), and on March 16, 2020, All Nippon Airways launched a direct scheduled flight to Tokyo (Narita).

Vladivostok today
Today, the airport is authorized to receive all types of aircraft and has ICAO Category II. The comfort level of the new terminal meets the ‘C’ standard according to the classification adopted in the IATA Design Manual (Airport Terminal Reference Manual 8th Edition, April 1995 IATA). The new terminal has a capacity of 1,360 people per hour.
Vladivostok International Airport actively supports programs to protect rare animal species. The Company participates in social campaigns in this area, raising awareness of the problem of preserving rare feline species — Siberian tigers and Amur leopards. The sculpture of the Amur leopard, installed on the terminal square, reminds residents and guests of Primorye of the importance of preserving and restoring the population of the spotted predator in the Far East.
